Primo Zip Wader – Guide Edition$499.00
With the warm easy days of summer fading in the rearview mirror, we took time out for a quick trip over the mountains to the dry and fertile area of Eastern Washington for some trout fishing. We met up with Leaf Seaburg of Methow Fishing Adventures, and set off with high expectations. All expectations were exceeded with plenty of fish catching and fun having. Enjoy these photos from this great early fall day on the river.
We woke up early (5:15am!), strapped up our DRYFT Primo Zip front waders, stuffed lunches and drinks into our BKCNTRY packs and headed for the river. Fishing didn’t slow up all day- with solid takes on dries and streamers keeping the action moving quickly from first light well into the afternoon.

Due to the evolving situation with COVID-19 in our area we are putting plans in place to help keep everyone around us safe. Our staff is healthy and safe here, but we are putting these safeguards in place to keep it that way and to protect our customers. We will be limiting office visits and our overall exposure outside of the home, but will continue to process and ship orders as usual at this time.
During this time we expect that the time it takes us to process orders will increase, with possible delays of 3-7 days at times.
Also processes such as exchanges, returns and repairs may be a little slower than normal. We will continue to do these operations, but are expecting each to take on average several days longer than usual but in some cases may be up to a week delay. We thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.
To help keep everyone safe we will be exercising and abundance of caution by putting the following safeguards in place:
- Closing our offices to outside visitors to isolate our office staff, warehouse equipment and product stock
- Regularly disinfecting commonly touched surfaces around our offices and warehouse
- We will be wearing gloves when handling product and packing orders.
- Keeping our distance and working from home when possible to limit exposure to each other
- Anyone displaying any symptoms of illness will stay at home.
This is a hard time for small business in America and around the world. From disruptions to our supply chains to instability in the financial markets and consumer confidence, we have started to feel the effects. We appreciate each and every one of you, and thank you for your business and support. We will continue to support you by operating as normally as possible.
Remember that the best safeguard for you and your family is distance and isolation. Sounds like a good time to get some fresh air, go explore a wild place and do some fishing.
We will be monitoring the situation closely and post updates as needed.
Take care of your zipper, and your zipper will take care of you.
From pocket zippers to waterproof zip front wader models, all of our fishing waders have multiple zippers that provide different levels of function. The pocket zippers keep things organized and in place, while the main waterproof zipper on the Primo Zip front wader allows easy in and out access. They all need a little care from time to time to keep them running smoothly and operating for the long run. Here are four easy steps for how to care for your zippers.
- Keep all debris such as dirt, sand, fishing line, clothing, bait goop, and salt crust out of the zipper teeth.
- Use a cleaner and lubricate regularly.
- Always store and pack fully unzipped. The exception to this is when hanging your zip front waders it is recommended to hang them fully zipped up. Packing them fully unzipped helps prevent damage.
- Never force a stuck zipper. Instead lubricate thoroughly and gently back off.
Notes on storage and transport of zip front wader models. We recommend storing and transport your waders fully unzipped, with the exception of hanging zip front waders fully zipped up. Never bend or fold your waders when zipped up as this can add stress and create a weak point in the zipper. When packing for travel, fully unzip your waders and roll them from the feet up and try not to pack them at the bottom of your baggage with heavy items on top.
A final point about waterproof zip front models. Foreign matter caught in the zipper can result in damage which may not be covered under warranty. Keep it clean and never force the zipper. If the zipper sticks at all when zipping, stop immediately and gently unzip in the opposite direction if possible, and then clean the zipper thoroughly before using again. We recommend Zipper Cleaner and Lubricant and Zipper Lubricant Stick from Gearaid to get it sliding smoothly again. Use the snap at the top to take stress off and keep it from pulling apart while wearing.
