Description

Rain, sleet, snow. Say hello to our little friend.

The new Primo women’s wading jacket excels at keeping you dry on those hardcore bad weather days, and has all of the features and stash pockets you need for a full day on the water. This full length fishing rain jacket is designed to be worn with chest waders, wading pants, rain pants,  or just by itself.

The Primo women’s wading jacket features waterproof and breathable protection from the elements with three layer DWR coated, 20,000mm waterproof rated fabric, fully taped seams and water resistant YKK zippers. The snagless cuffs adjust on the inside of the sleeve to prevent water from running down your arm, and leaving the outside of your sleeve clean from snagging line or other gear.

You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy this jacket. Which is pretty much the same thing.

Christmas present for my wife. She love the fits and colors, also can’t wait to wear it on next Erie Steelhead fishing trip with Dryft waders.

Cannot love this jacket enough. I’ve had it for four seasons now and its just as waterproof and tough as the day I brought it home. When I’m outdoors, I live in this jacket, it carries me through my entire open and hardwater season. I wear it wading, but also as my primary rain jacket on and off the water, it leaves me with plenty of space to layer without feeling bulky. I’m 5’2 and 180lbs, in a large this jacket fits well over my larger chest area without squeezing or cutting off breathing room while sitting. This jacket outperforms all the men’s jackets I’ve been making do with before this one came along. Insanely waterproof, so many well thought out pockets, material is tough as nails and although its the last thing on my checklist for functionality, it doesn’t hurt that I no longer look like the Michelin tire man when fishing. I get plenty of compliments on this jacket, especially after a soggy day on the water when I’m toasty warm while everyone else suffers in their sub par rain gear.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this jacket has been such a lifesaver for me that I had to. I’m 5’7”, 18/20 2x and my hips are usually the issue. Finding performance fishing gear is always a a struggle and I usually end up buying mens. I have mens waders (don’t get me started), but I really didn’t want to spend $600 on an ugly mens wading jacket too. I found this jacket online and studied the measurements before I purchased. When wading I can fit a base layer, waders, hoodie, and this jacket comfortably without feeling pinched or restricted. (I think their measurements are actually a little off and what I got is bigger than the size chart says it would be.) I love the adjustability all the way around. When we’re spending a week on the beach I wear it in the surf and as a wind blocker. It definitely isn’t quick drying, but I love the cinch functions and that I can still wear a hat underneath. When it gets really cold I’m cinched up all the way around and you can only see my eyes and nose. Anyway, love this jacket for beach and wading and I love that it isn’t khaki or green! Looking forward to replacing my Simms waders when the time comes.

As a plus size girl, I ALWAYS have issues finding things that fit! By the time I find something that fits through my chest and hips..the arms are way to long!!( or I have to buy a men’s and can’t have the woman option) I’m roughly 5’1 and 240 (yes I’m chunky lol) the XL fits me AMAZING! The jacket is stylish.,which yes I know we are just fishing..but it’s nice to feel “cute” out doing what we love! The pictures don’t do this jacket justice of the quality and little features that DRYFT put the time to add. Unlike some woman’s cuts in jackets, this jacket is flattering, but isn’t so tight that you can’t layer and still feel comfortable! Thank you DRYFT for offering gear for woman of all shapes and sizes! It truly means the world to a curvy flygirl like me!

  5. Bridget Moran

I got to test this bad boy out and put it through the wringer for a few days. It’s got an awesome deep hood which keeps rain off the brim of my hat. The adjustable inner cuffs keep water out of my sleeves when fish handling or casting. Also, women’s clothing with good pockets?? Hell yeah. I don’t even own enough stuff to fill all these pockets. It fits great. I’m 5’4″, 130lbs and usually waffle between a small and a medium depending on the coat, but the medium fit me best and allowed for thicker layering. The highlight, though, is definitely how bone dry I was after a full day out in the pissing rain. The material held up well in the face of a lot of bushwhacking, and the waterproof-ness made me instantly go home and toss the other “waterproof” jackets that I’d been using. This thing is seriously a treat, as is DRYFT’s customer service.
Agreed: while you can’t buy happiness, this jacket is a warm, dry happiness equivalent.
