Description
All-weather protection for your bod.
More pockets. More features. More awesome.
A true bomber of a jacket, the Primo Wading Jacket keeps you dry even on those hardcore bad weather days. If you want to make an impression on the river and stand out from the crowd, rocking this wading jacket-style technical shell from DRYFT is a sure fire way to do it.
The Primo Wading Jacket features waterproof and breathable protection from the elements with DWR coated, 20,000mm waterproof rated fabric, fully taped seams and water resistant zippers. The snagless cuffs adjust on the inside, wrapping your wrist tighter than a leather mancuff, leaving the outside of your sleeve clean from snagging your line like a hook to the face. With a shorter length for wading, but not so short that it shows off the tattoo you got after losing that bet in Mexico, the Primo Wading Jacket can crossover and be worn with or without waders.

Sweet jacket. The cuffs work great for keeping your arms dry even when scouring the bottom to grab the stuff I dropped in the river. Comfortable fit that allows for vigorous activity. Looks good and keeping me dry and comfy in a long day hiking and fishing in the rain. Love my new jacket. Only reason not a five is that I would have liked to be able to roll up the hood when not using.

Primo Wading Jacket is an awesome jacket.
I am no longer using my Patagonia wading jacket due to leaks.. I also stopped using my G4 Simms wading jacket due to a tear on the back from blackberry bushes.
Looking forward to many years of use from this jacket.

First off I would like to see Thank You Dryft!
The Primo Wading Jacket is a huge bite in a small package.
Very lightweight resistant to snow, ice, rain and especially wind.
That’s a big one for me, but wind does not penetrate the Primo shell, at all.
The material is extremely tough. I took a fall that I thought would have torn Cordura, by looking at the Primo Jacket you never would have known that it hit the ground.
I’m 6′ 1″, 185 lb. The large allows me to bundle up in the very cold weather.
I also ordered a Primo Rain Jacket in size medium for the warmer days.
I am a retired Marine and I put all of my gear to work!
This thing works.

I bought the Primo Waders & Jacket. I have not fished in them yet but I’m really looking forward to it. These are the best waders and jacket I’ve seen or tried on. Seems like top quality materials and workmanship. I’m excited!

Quality as good as the DRYFT waders I own only things I would like to see and emailed Nick pertaining to future design is more pocket(s) space and the 3XL is pretty tight on me and I am 6’5 and 230ish and its snug. Will be a great jacket when not needing multiple layer of clothing when temps in Mi start blowing/falling in the 20’s. I will say though customer service gets 100 star review for awesome response back time! Price is very good for the top quality of the jacket. Thanks Nick for all the helpful emailing info regarding future designs and figuring out how to make my floats fit in back pocket without them getting damaged

PROS:
✔️ Well made from super materials
✔️ Seems very water / weather proof
✔️Great snag free cuffs
‼️You don’t look like your part of a ski school at the boat ramp
CONS:
Chest pockets are just to small for my on river daily needs.
(i should try the other model)

I took the leap of faith and bought my DRYFT wading jacket several years ago. In short, it has performed well, and often. Great quality of workmanship and fit. Let’s be honest — I have been a Simms G4 guy for many years. This DRYFT jacket measures up without a doubt — it is one tough performer when the weather is just plain crap. You can count on DRYFT products, if the jacket is any indication. Which I’m sure that it is.

I stayed dry in 4 days of rain fishing the salmon river. This jacket is the greatest as far as comfort and staying dry. About to head out for a trip to Erie, Pa and feel ready for any kind of weather that comes.
I called the company and they helped with the extra large jacket. It is a perfect fit for layering up and staying dry and warm.

Always a chance with a new product and new company in the market. Didn’t disappoint! Bought for fall and winter use. A solid product, well built. Kept me high and dry without loss of comfort. Especially liked the cuffs as they keep cold water where it belongs, in the stream. More than enough utility pockets. Just bought a new pair of waders from a competitor, but will definitely give there waders a try next go around. The price is right, if not low for the quality, but please don’t get any ideas to raise prices. What we need in this market is affordable quality considering the high price of competitors.

I bought the wading jacket for steelheading the OP and Calufornia Coast. Took it up to the OP, no rain for a week . . . imagine that? Very cold and the jacket kept me nice and warm.
Took it up to the Eel and we got dumped on. Kept me dry and warm. I loved that the sleeves sealed under the edge of the jacket! I am a big fan of this gear thus far. Excellent Steelheading gear!!!-!

I got my promo wading jacket and was impressed from the start. I have gone through a number of different jackets over the years. Out of the box this is the most impressive one I have bought. I have owned all the big names, this one beats them . The quality and craftsmanship are phenomenal. The design is very smart. Nothing on the arms or chest to snag your fly line. Pockets keep things dry and are well placed. Two large pockets on the back are great.
All seems are tape sealed, not just the major ones. This will keep you dry .

I own the wading jacket and the waist waders. They are both very comfortable to wear. I use them in a jet boat and lake boat for protection against rain and spray. While wading I haven’t had with any type of leaks. Very happy with these 2 products.

Just got my Primo jacket last week right before my fishing trip on the Catawba in NC. Customer service was awesome and helped me get the jacked just in time for my trip. I’m extremely happy with my purchase. At one point i tripped out of the boat and stayed bone dry because of the jacket. This is a very quality jacket that looks great and performs very well. When it comes down to it, the fact that I contacted Dryft and they got right back to me to help me out speaks volumes for this company. When my current waders give out, I will be coming back to Dryft for my next pair. Top notch products with top notch customer service. Thanks again Dryft!

I am not one to do reviews very often, and I never do before having a chance to use a purchase for a couple years to verify the longevity. I was looking for a high quality wading jacket without spending $500 – $600 and this jacket delivered! I have worn it on the worst rainy days in a stream and boat and never even got damp. I have also worn it as an outer layer when blowing snow in the winter, ice fishing, and even skiing, and it breaks the wind as well as it keeps the water out. I’ve had it for over 2 years and it is still performing well. I will definitely be buying my next pair of waders from Dryft, as the quality for the cost is so much better than the other big names.

I bought the wader and jacket combo, well my wife did buy the, for me. I really love the jacket seem durable and well made. Sheds water nicely so far. The waders are nice, and work, being an odd size the legs are bit baggy but needed that to get the long inseam. Some of the trim is not Simms quality for sure; wading belt and loops, straps etc. But, with that said, the Dryft waders and jacket combo was cheaper (by a lot) than my previous Simms wader. The Dryft waders are highly functional and they did not leak out of the box. As for durability after 10 trips fishing I have no complaints. I will have to see how they hold up over the hopefully next several years. Since I retired I fish about 100 days a year. So, time will tell. I would add that the combo deal was a nice price point for both and a great deal.
