So far I am really liking these waders a lot. Out the box they perform as well as the expensive waders. My only mistake was that I should have ordered a Large Short. I am average height and weight (6′-0″) but the regular large are a bit long, but that is okay, my next pair I will order the right size. I like the way the designers arranged and thought about all the pockets, very smart…..The aesthetics are “okay”, These waders feel a little flashy to me, I am okay with subtle, but that is just a minor personal taste thing. Really no reason to buy the expensive waders anymore. Yah at this price point I will remain a customer…

I fished all spring in a pair of the DRYFT Primo Zipfront Waders. They have held up fantastically. The pocket configuration in these is excellent and extremely well thought out. The gravel guards are great and the strap and belt is very comfortable. They don’t have the usual olive drab or tan look of everybody else on the river but I kind a like that. I’ve warn lots of waders over the years from Simms Orvis, and L.L. Bean etc.. when this DRYFT pair goes I’ll replace it with anothe DRYFT product. Good job. Thanks for a great affordable advanced wader option.

Sooooo I Was in the market for some new waders and couldn’t decide on the g4z or the primo front zip . After doing tons of research I determined the primos were pretty much the exact same wader as the g4z minus the gortex material and were half the price .
I decided to Order a pair of primos , shipping was insanely fast and the waders are AWESOME!!!! I’m super impressed with the quality and can’t believe I don’t see these waders out on the rivers here in Colorado more ?! I’m a very avid angler here in Colorado so these waders will get tons of use and exposure. Definitely excited to put these to the test this upcoming year If everything goes to plan i will be ordering a jacket to match the waders .

Update to my original review! I’ve been wearing the Primo zip front wader and jacket now for a month! The weather has been in the low teens to upper 20’s with a strong east wind almost every day! I have remained comfortable in this gear! Definitely worth every penny!

!!!!!BEST OF THE BEST!!!!! I have tried many, many different kinds of waders at variable prices. First let talk comfort. Super comfortable fit, not to tight not to loose. I can move around and not fee bunched up or feel like i’m swimming in them. I fish the Oregon coast , and surrounding rivers, South Umpqua , North Umpqua, Main Umpqua. At times these rivers get very cold in the winter like right now. These new Dryft Primo front zip waders are by far hands down the best I’ve seen. Thanks to the quality of material they keep me very warm. I fish around a ton of structure from. Sticker bushes, branches, rocks. I have tested these waders in extreme conditions after to find not a single nick or tear in them. This is the quality am I am talking about.
Lets talk accessibility and convenience. Like many waders most have a pocket or two. The Dryft Primo front zip waders have many pockets, including a completely waterproof inside detachable pouch that is perfect for your phone or fishing license. Not mention my Ultimate favorite The FRONT T-ZIP. ))))) RELEASE THE KRAKEN ZIPPER ((((((
like I have said I have worn many different types of waders. And I’m my personal and professional opinion the Dryft Primo front zip waders are hands down the BEST of the BEST. Do yourself a favor before buying a different type of wader. Buy These you wont regret it.

Bought these the first of December for Washington State winter steelhead fishing! They are warm and seem to be well constructed which is great because I travel through all kinds of brush to get to the fishing holes.

These are terrific waders at any price, but are a great value at $379. I’m 5′ 10″, 170 lbs and the mediums fit well with plenty of room to move comfortably. Well designed for functionality, tough and warm, I specifically got these waders for the zip front feature. I am 65 yrs old and do a lot of fishing in an Outcast float tube, in which you sit pretty high and out of the water. Being able to easily “release the kracken” with these waders is a godsend to me and my aging plumbing. Great waders, great price. Keep up the good work.

This front zip waders are fantastic for the very confrontable and have plenty of pockets for your gear and belongings. Very warm inside so no worries there. For the money these are more then worth it and would recommend them to everybody.

Always had Simms, but didnt want to pay $800 bucks for front zip. The Dryft waders are high quality with all the functions of the top end Simms waders but half the cost. I also like the color scheme. The fit is great, im 5’8″ and the small fit perfect. the booties are about a size 9 i would say. Wading belt is designed to stay in place with enough loops so It dosent fling around like other waders ive had. 4 front pockets and i can hold everything i need in them, from full size tacky box, to cell phone, beer koozies, walki talki, whisky flask, car keys, etc. etc.

Five years ago, I moved from gods country, for those of you who don’t know where that is.. it’s found in the great state of Texas. I decided that I needed to get a pair of waders after a near death experience in the Puget Sound, I didn’t have waders and stood in the awesomely cold water for way too long, well at least until I couldn’t feel my feet. Then I purchased a pair of waders that sprung a leak, now I won’t mention the brand of those waders but let’s just say that my simms have been forgiven. Now I will say this, my near death experience times 2, was due to me (Texan) not wanting my buddies believing that I was freezing by proverbial buttocks off, due to the amount of water that I was taking on in my waders. As hypothermia was knocking at my door I decided that it would be best to move to a warmer area. I did, water getting in was easy, water getting out was not so easy. I struggled to get my waders off and longed for a pair of waders that I could just simply zip off! After struggling with what seemed to me a really long time, shivering and trying to get waders full of water off make for pretty good comedy, I assure you of that.
Being the really smart guy that I am I decided I needed insulated waders. You know, cause the water is so stinking cold that you just drop your beer in the river and it becomes a frosty beverage. These insulated waders caused this poor ole country boy to well, sweat at a rate that should only occur under two circumstances. One, a hot Texas summer and two… well I’ll leave that to your imagination. So, I did what any good American would do. I got my smart phone out and asked siri…naw. Really, I saw an ad, let it sink in for a while. Read these great reviews that told me how much they loved the waders ect.
So, I figured my 5th set of waders in as many years, it was worth to just to see if they (DRYFT) could do the job. I have to admit, I was excited as a school girl who just made the choir when the package came. The mail man was not to thrilled that I was about to take off my blue jeans and try these on at the post box! No, I really didn’t try them on at the post box. I tossed them in the truck and promptly headed out to the lake to fish. When I put them on it was nice to know that if I needed to I could get them off in a tight situation. I was worried about the zipper, but I spent the better part of an hour with the zipper submerged and not a leak. When nature called after a few adult beverages, well I don’t have to tell you how convenient the zipper was. So, all in all. I lov’em! Good job boys, y’all did good!! I hope that folks make it through this review and at least see that you make one hell of a product.

Thanks so much for leaving a review Shawn. It sounds like these zip fronts were a long time coming, and glad we could help you out!

I came across the DRYFT brand when I was searching for me next pair of chest waders. I fish 150 days a year and I have definitely gone through my fair share of waders. I was looking for something very durable, something that looked good, and would fit well so I wouldn’t look like every other guy out there in khaki parachute pants. I decided to give these waders a shot because not only did the specs all seem to point to a quality product… but they just look bad ass. I have had these waders about a week and a half and have fished with them 3 times and although I can’t speak to their longevity yet… I can say this is the most impressed I have ever been with a wader. they look awesome, every aspect of the wader fits great from the feet to the chest. For such a durable product I was shocked with how comfortable they are and how much flexibility they afford when crouching, kneeling, or stepping over logs. Oh.. and pockets… soooo many pockets!! I have already decided that I will almost never bring my pack with me again unless I will be hiking and need to bring clothes, or food, etc. These bad boys can fit plenty of gear for a day on the river no sweat! Overly impressed. Great job guys.

I was in the market for a new pair of zipper waders. I loved my first pair from cabelas, and knew my next pair had to have a zipper. I always gotta wizz while I’m in the middle of the creek and the convenience of the zipper is unrivaled. So I shopped around and chose to buy these. Right out of the box you will notice they are very durable, well made, and look awesome. The button on the top of the waders is a great feature which keeps the waders together and in turn takes much stress off the zipper during unzipping and zipping; something my last pair didnt have. I would have to use two hands to unzip. Now only one is needed. The media pocket is water proof and its velcroed on so you can pull the entire pocket off the waders. I like that. The belt is really nice, and so are all the other mentioned features. I would not however recommend these waders to someone who lives in a hot climate, or only fishes in the summer. I do not know from personal experience yet, as its early spring, but I suspect they will be hot. But even cheaper, lighter waders are still hot. Just something to think about. I fish every season so I’ll get my money out of them, and they are made good.

I recently purchased a pair of The Primo Zip-Front waders. They just happen to show up for the start the the steelhead run here in Northern Indiana. The waders are great. I stayed cool and comfortable on long walks getting back to less fished areas. I stayed nice and comfortable for hours in the cold waters. There are plenty of pockets to store items. I like that my iPhone 6S+ fits nicely in the inside waterproof pocket. So far the waders have proved tough. The St. Joe river has some very slick and jagged rocks. And when nature called, the front zip made it very nice to release the Kraken. At $349, these waders are a helluva a deal. Nowadays, good quality gear is expensive. Save some dough and get yourself a pair of these.

The new Dryft Primo Zip-Front waders have been working great for me on the rugged Southern Oregon Coast. From jagged rocks, thorn bushes and broken branches, took a slide on my backside down 15 feet of roots and mud to find no damage at all.The Primo front zip waders are top notch. The front zipper has come in extremely handy in down pours. Un zip “Release the Kraken” zip up down. The zipper is definitely water proof, have put it to the test many times. Plenty of pockets for what ever you want to carry and they are all accessible in just seconds. I would highly recommend before you buy a pair of waders that are $800 you give these a shot.
